So here's the scoop on Caleb at 2 months:
He weighed 11 pounds, 6.5 ounces and was 23 inches long at his 2 month checkup. Poor baby also had to get his first round of shots :( He cried to the point that his whole face and neck turned red!
He is definitely our calmest baby so far. He is just so EASY, EASY, EASY! He hardly gets fussy or cranky and just has such a laid back personality.
He is generally sleeping through the night. Yay!!! He has been going 8-10 hour stretches for almost a week now and even if he doesn't sleep through the night, he typically only wakes up once. We have found that if he's wearing his fuzzy jammies and swaddle sleepsack, he sleeps really well.
He also has been taking pretty good naps in his crib, usually a long one in the morning and a couple of shorter ones throughout the day.
And he can put himself to sleep! We try to lay him down as soon as he becomes drowsy and even if he wakes up a little, he will fall right back to sleep on his own. This has been such a lifesaver for us because Maddie and Isaac still require quite a bit of care so we don't have all day to rock and soothe Caleb to sleep. Although, I do kind of miss how much he used to sleep in our arms!
He is smiling and interacting with us more now. He seems to be a more serious kid and doesn't smile a ton. But when he does smile, it is just the cutest thing ever! He especially loves to smile at his brother and sister. We got him a new crib mobile that has jungle animals and plays classical music (really good Amazon deal and early Christmas present!) and he just loves it! He will smile and coo at all the little animals. But, of course, every time I've tried to capture it with our camera, he stops!
I think I've finally gotten in to a good groove taking care of 3 kids and most days feel pretty manageable. But it does help that Caleb is just such a great baby and he has been such an awesome addition to our family!
I also took some fun Christmas pictures of our little guy and I LOVE how they turned out! Here are my 2 favorites:
