8 months old!

Isaac is 8 months old on June 14, 2011!

Here's the scoop on Isaac at 8 months old (and let's see if I can get a bulleted list to work this time!):

• Has been sleeping fantastic lately, so yay for that!  He basically doesn't even fuss any more when we lay him down for naps and at bedtime, although sometimes he will "talk" himself to sleep.  Hmmm...getting to be a little bit like his big sister maybe?  We lay him down to sleep on his stomach now since he always ends up there anyway.  He just hates being on his back and he really hates getting his sleepsack put on!
• Is quite the little eater and loves all of the different pureed foods we've been feeding him.  I even tried my hand at making homemade baby food.  I've only made pureed peas so far but it was surprisingly easy!  And Isaac is getting to be a pro at holding his own bottle too :)  Although, he is the most distracted eater I have ever seen.  He just loves watching everything that big sister is doing instead of focusing on his meal!  We've also been giving him Gerber puffs to see if he'll get the hang of finger food.  So far, he just gets them stuck to his arms instead of getting them actually in his mouth.  Maddie will then take the puffs off of Isaac and eat them!
• No longer immobile as he's figured out how to crawl just this past week!  He went from only going a few feet forward the day after my parents went home to shooting across the room over the weekend.  He also can get into a sitting position from laying down.  I usually find him sitting up in the crib when I come to get him in the morning.  So we'll be lowering the crib mattress soon!
• His current favorite toys are cups, bowls and spoons from the kitchen.  We finally put away his musical playmat since he loved to pull it over on top of himself.  And he loves Maddie's toys too!  She, on the other hand, is constantly freaking out whenever he touches anything of hers.  It's going to be a really fun summer with these two...
• Is becoming the cutest and sweetest baby boy.  I just love to snuggle and cuddle with him and he is just such a fun part of our little family :)
