After lots of discussion and late night internet research, we have finally decided it was time to upgrade our camera. And I am beyond excited with this new addition to our household! I want to jump up and down and maybe do some cartwheels across the living room, except I probably won't. But I am super, duper excited! I was growing increasingly frustrated with the limitations of our point and shoot camera, which was not a bad camera by any means, it just wasn't enough for the things I wanted to be able to do. I still have a lot to learn about photography and how to use my new camera but hopefully it will lead to more regular picture taking (and blogging!).
Here's some shots I took today, basically taking the camera out of the box and playing around with it some:
And here's a shot comparing our two cameras (old on the left, new on the right):
Both shots were taken at the same spot with no flash and the camera completely zoomed out. So the new camera does much better without the flash and can take much wider shots!
Exciting! We just did the opposite a couple months ago and got a point and shoot camera to supplement our fancy camera. It's nice to have both to suit different occasions :)
ReplyDeleteI am pretty excited but feeling a little overwhelmed at my complete lack of photography skills/knowledge! And I totally agree - we still love having our Powershot for those times when you want to be able to just stick a camera in your pocket or purse and go :)
