This is probably the first time in a long while we've dressed up like this!
Quan's parents watched the kids for us on Saturday so we could go out and celebrate our dating anniversary. We had an amazing dinner at P.F. Changs and watched The Vow, which was kinda sad but had a good ending.
Since we've all been under the weather lately, I just didn't feel up to making a homemade Valentine's meal so we had store bought food instead, which ended up being pretty good!
The kids had a festive dinner!
We bought some fun little gifts for the kids, which they opened after dinner. They each got a small heart shaped balloon, slippers (red car ones for Maddie!) and some peanut safe treats (harder to find than you would think). Those balloons were a total hit! Quan also treated me to a beautiful bouquet :)
After the kids were in bed, Quan and I spent some time together, connecting and enjoying some Valentine desserts. I found an idea online for 50 questions to ask your spouse, ranging from lighthearted to more serious, with the intention of sparking some good conversation with each other. Let's just say that it certainly inspired conversation since we only got around to answering 4 of the questions! We're planning on answering the rest over the course of several more date nights together :)
In all, it was a wonderful couple of days, despite the ickiness in our house! Happy Belated Valentine's Day!
I recently found a list of ?'s too for a date w/hubs, but it wasn't quite as many ?'s as your 50. Would you mind sharing the link? We really enjoyed that date, but are now out of ?'s. Thx!
