Big Girl Bed!

In preparation for our newest little one needing a crib and Maddie's approaching third birthday, we decided it was time to switch her over to a "big girl bed"!  Here's what she thought about her new sleeping arrangements:

She was THRILLED and little brother loved it too!  And yes, she is not wearing any pants - one of our other recent adventures has been potty training!

We picked out her sweet little bed at IKEA - I just loved the little white sheep!  Quan spent the evening assembling the bed and then when we excitedly went to put the mattress in, it came up about a foot too short!  Apparently, unknown to us, Europe has some weird junior bed size that we don't have here.  However after some quick internet searching, we found a solution!

Quan had a white board cut to fill in the extra space and Maddie refers to it as her "table", a place to keep her nightlight, stuffed animals and other important things :) 

We had quite the adjustment at first and lots of reminders to get and stay in bed.  Maddie kept Isaac up late a couple of nights (they share a room now) and there were some missed naps but overall it has been a success! 

I am so behind but hope to get caught up sometime in the near future with blogging - lots of fun stuff like more new baby posts and Mother's Day :)
