Pregnancy highlights:
How far along: 38 weeks on Friday - baby is full term!
Size of baby: The length of a leek (nearly 7 pounds and over 19.5 inches long). Our doctor thinks that the baby will be on the big side like Isaac was - he was already measuring over 5 pounds at only 33 weeks!
Maternity clothes: Obviously, YES! However, the dress and leggings in the picture are non-maternity so I will get to wear them post baby too :)
Movement: This baby is running out of room so his movements are more restricted but he loves to stretch and poke me with his feet and elbows. It's getting more and more painful when he shifts around inside, especially for my poor pelvis and ribs so I think we are both ready for him to be born already!
Gender: BOY! And we have settled on a first and middle name that we think will be just perfect for our little guy.
What I miss: Sleeping well at night (although that won't change after baby gets here!), wearing regular clothing, sushi and Subway sandwiches!
Cravings: Now that fall is here, I've been craving pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread and homemade soups
Pregnancy symptoms: Still having fairly regular heartburn (will not miss that!) and some aches and pains, although not keeping me from doing too much. No labor signs yet!
Best moment of the week: Being told by our doctor that baby will most likely be here next week! And having my amazing mom here to help out with the kids and things around the house.
I can't believe we are almost at the end of this pregnancy - it's just whizzed by so much faster than either of our other pregnancies! We are so excited to meet this little one but it will certainly be a time of adjustment for all of us. Isaac will probably have the roughest time but I know he will make a great big brother! Maddie is thrilled about the new baby (she's gotten over her disappointment that the baby is not a girl) and can't wait to help out and do "big sister" things for the baby. She was very concerned the other night when we were packing for the hospital that we had not packed any toys for the baby to play with! Silly girl :) And of course, Quan is super excited to have TWO little boys to wrangle!

I have a little more blog catch up I'd like to do before baby comes, but who knows? He may just surprise us all and show up tomorrow!
