Eating: This boy loves to eat! He recently went through a growth spurt and now takes anywhere from 2-4 oz at a time. At his 2 week check up he weighed 8 lbs 7.5 oz so he is already above his birthweight. He is starting to outgrow all his newborn clothes and outfits that were loose on him 2 weeks ago are now starting to fit.
Sleeping: Generally he is a great sleeper! However, he only wants to sleep in someone's arms right now. We have started to work on getting him to sleep in his own bed and he has slept a few hours here and there in his bassinet. Daytime is more of a challenge as he seems to get startled by the constant noise his siblings make and doesn't want to be put down at all! Once my mom leaves at the end of the month, he may have to start spending lots of time in the carrier so I can get anything done during the day! At night he is often going a 4-5 hour stretch between feedings, which has been awesome - if only he would spend those hours in his own bed...
Where Caleb prefers to sleep!
First time sleeping in bassinet
Caleb has also been more and more alert during the day. We've started putting him in his bassinet with the mobile running or on his playmat during these alert periods and he seems to enjoy it!Overall, Caleb is a sweet baby, usually only crying when he needs a change or something to eat. He is even pretty calm through diaper and clothing changes most of the time!
First at home bath (and wearing a diaper cover made by Mommy!)
First outing to meet Great Grandparents!
First cloth diaper - he's been in cloth since he was 4 days old!
As much as I look forward to him growing up, learning new things (and sleeping through the night!), I am really trying to enjoy these moments when he is itty bitty - it just goes by so fast!
