Sewing Projects!

Well, things have just been crazy around here between a massive basement reorganization, taking down all of our too many Christmas decorations, a teething (4 molars in a month!) cranky boy who won't take a single nap half the time these days annnnd.....sewing lots of fun things! 

I haven't sewn anything in probably 15 years so my skills are a little rusty but I was amazed at how quickly a lot of it came back to me :)  My mom taught me pretty much everything I know and I have fond memories of spending afternoons working on projects with her - with the exception of her quirky sewing machine!  So here's a peak at what I've been working on lately.....

 

 My first project - a pillowcase dress for Maddie - so easy and fun!

We got rid of the horrible vertical blinds in our family room and replaced them with this lovely curtain :)  The hem is still a teeny bit uneven (despite being re-hemmed once already) so if I get really bored someday, I may fix it yet again.
