6 months old!

Isaac is 6 months old on April 14, 2011!

At 6 months old Isaac:

• Weighs 19 lbs. 3 oz. (75th-90th percentile) and is measuring 29 inches long (basically off the charts!).  Just as a comparison, Maddie weighed 18 lbs. 3 oz. and measured 30.75 inches long at 12 months old.  Our boy is big! 
• Has almost outgrown his 9 month sized clothing and is starting to wear 12 month sized clothing.  I was out shopping for some summer clothes for the kiddos and bought size 24 months for Maddie and size 18 months for Isaac!
• Has mastered rolling over from his back to his tummy.  This has led to some sleeping issues as Isaac will roll over in his sleep at some point, and then wake up screaming at 3am wanting to be rolled back over! 
• His diet is about to get a lot more interesting as we will be starting pureed fruits and veggies this week.  Yay!
• Learned how to blow a raspberry just this week.  I'll try to get a video of him doing it, but right now it only happens sporadically.   
• Is still sleeping pretty well, with the exception of the rolling over issue.  He sleeps around 11-12 hours at night and takes 2 naps during the day lasting around 2 hours each. 
• Is getting closer to being able to sit up on his own.  He can lean forward on his hands and sit for a few seconds before toppling over. 
• Is really working on getting some teeth!  He is a little drool machine and is chewing on stuff constantly.  I'm thinking we may see a tooth in the next month or so!  And now we basically can't give him anything for his teething pain except Tylenol (which I'm always so hesitant to use anyway) since Baby Orajel and teething tablets (which were such a lifesaver for Maddie) are not really considered safe anymore :( 

I tried uploading a 6 month picture of Isaac onto Facebook this morning but no matter what I tried Facebook would not allow me to upload that photo.  In my attempt to upload said picture, I ended up having to delete my entire album because Facebook had made such a mess of it.  I have a love hate relationship with Facebook as it is and things like this don't really help.  I know I shouldn't complain about something that's free but the photo uploader seriously needs to be fixed.  My frustration with uploading photos and videos onto Facebook was one of the big reasons I ended up starting this blog. 

OK, that was a little bit of a rant but it's been a long day with a certain 6 month old little boy who has been refusing naps and I just want to upload one photo!  I think (fingers crossed!) both kids are sleeping now though so I better take advantage of it!
