First Cold

My poor little baby had his first cold over the weekend.  His nose had been stuffy and runny Friday afternoon and he just didn't seem to be his regular happy self.  I took his temperature and it was running around 101 degrees and since this was Isaac's first real fever (and I'm a little paranoid), I decided to see if we could get him into our doctor's office that afternoon.  I was able to get him an appointment but it was late enough in the day, and I had a simulcast at our church to go to in the evening, that Quan ended up having to take both kids to the office by himself.

Here's a picture of Quan with the kiddos at the pediatrician's office

Thankfully, everything checked out fine with Isaac - just a minor cold.  Quan did a great job taking care of things and he even put a cool washcloth on Isaac's forehead later that evening to help with his fever.  Apparently, Isaac really loved it!  I thought it was pretty cute myself :D

And I just have to say that we love our Nosefrida aka "the snotsucker"!  This is the only thing that has worked to get the mucus out of Isaac's nose so that he could breath and eat much more easily.  Although Isaac doesn't share our enthusiasm - he hates this thing!

As of today, Isaac seems to be over his cold and eating (and sleeping!) better.  Yay!
