One of the things that I have enjoyed most about having two children is seeing how Maddie has grown into her role as a big sister. When we first brought Isaac home from the hospital, it was meltdown city at our house, as Maddie didn't respond too favorably to no longer being the only baby.
But as time has passed, and Isaac has been a little less demanding of our time and attention, Maddie has adjusted quite well to being an older child. She now seems to view herself as Isaac's second Mommy. She's always looking out for him and trying to "help" take care of him. She brings him toys to play with and loves to give him little kisses. Whenever Isaac's playing on the floor, Maddie will periodically come over and pat his head or rub his back and say "Baby Isaac". It's so sweet to see how tender and loving she is with her baby brother! And I am so proud of my sweet little girl!
The only real conflict we have between the two kids currently is that Maddie doesn't always like to share toys with her brother. I know in the near future they probably will fight with each other and they may not always like each other. But I do hope that they can grow up to be good friends :D
