9 months old!

 Isaac is 9 months old on July 14, 2011!

Here are the stats on Isaac at 9 months old:

• Officially weighs 22 pounds, 1 oz (75th percentile) and measures 30 inches long (90th-97th percentile).  He has slowed down on his growth a little but is still a really big boy!  He's wearing 18 and 24 month sized clothing. 
• Is crawling everywhere now!  When he's really determined to get into something, he'll do this adorable fast crawl combined with giggling.  That's always the signal to us that he's about to cause trouble!  Since he started crawling, Isaac has become extremely curious about everything.  We call him our "little engineer" because he will pick something up and examine it so intensely, like he's trying to figure out how it works.  Wonder who he gets that from.....  
• Is starting to pull himself up some.  He can get up on his knees and with some help can stand pretty well. 
• Has started eating finger foods and loves to feed himself.  So far he has tried pieces of cheese, chicken, crackers, cheerios, bananas, blueberries, pinto beans and green beans.  There isn't a food yet that he's tried and hasn't liked!   
• Now has 3 teeth and is working on more.  He got one of his upper teeth just in the last week or so.  It's not one of the middle two top teeth but one of the next ones over so he's getting them in a different order than big sister.  He's also taken to chewing on furniture lately and really, just about anything he can get his hands on.
• Still sleeping great at night and taking 2 naps during the day.  He transitioned into his new room without any problems.
• Babbles and blows raspberries all the time!  It's so cute :)  I'm starting to get excited about what his first word will be.  Maddie's first word, much to our disappointment, wasn't "Mama" or "Dada" but "dog".   
• Is such a mellow guy compared to our firstborn.  When I took him to his 9 month checkup, he didn't even cry for the doctor.  Maddie, on the other hand, totally freaked out when she saw our pediatrician!  She had been sitting in the waiting room with Daddy (I still can't handle the two of them at the doctor's office!) and decided she wanted to see what brother was doing.  As soon as Quan opened the door, and she saw the doctor, it was meltdown city!
• Has started becoming an independent little guy.  He doesn't really like to be held much anymore and is perfectly content to play by himself.  It kind of makes me sad to see him growing up so quickly.
 

  

 PS - Thank you Brock and Melissa for the super cute outfit!  Isaac has already worn it several times - it's one of our favorites :)
