Isaac at 10 months:
Isaac is (was!) 10 months old on August 14, 2011!

- Still sleeping around 10-12 hours at night and taking 2 naps during the day. He absolutely hates getting his diaper changed and especially hates having his sleepsack put on and will fight it with all of his strength! I feel like it's a huge battle with him every time he needs to get ready for his naps. He generally will make a lot of noise when I lay him down for bed, not necessarily crying, just a lot of moaning and groaning and talking, for 10-20 minutes and then he's out!
- Has been trying more and more finger foods and eating less and less pureed baby foods. He will basically shovel anything on his tray into his mouth so at least for now, he's not picky! Although, currently, his favorite foods seem to be cheese, fresh fruits, carrots, Cheerios and pasta.
- Is now occasionally pulling himself up to standing and has learned how to crawl up the stairs. On one occasion. I had run downstairs to start the laundry and he had managed to crawl up two flights stairs all in the span of a few moments! So, needless to say, I now keep the stairs barricaded to prevent him from crawling up unsupervised.
- Now has 6 teeth. For about a week or so we were having a lot of sleeping issues with Isaac and then suddenly, 3 teeth popped out of nowhere! He is also a drooling machine and we find baby slobber on just about every surface in our house! I don't know if it's a boy thing or just an Isaac thing but he has far surpassed his sister in the level of drool he's produced!
- Doesn't really like to be held much but is still super cuddly. If I am sitting on the floor, he will just climb all over me and bury his head in my lap. He seems to really like us giving him hugs and kisses and has even been known to give us a kiss at times :)
- Has been more vocal recently and has gotten into the habit of doing this really high pitched (and annoying!) squeal/scream when he wants attention or is done eating and wants to get out of his chair.

Isaac at 11 months:
Isaac is 11 months old on September 14, 2011!
- Has completely moved on to eating finger foods so no more pureed baby food. Yay! He seems to be a pretty easy going eater and will eat just about anything on his tray. He's pretty crazy about cheese and meats but also seems to enjoy fruits, veggies and more recently guacamole :)
- Is a pro at pulling himself up to a standing position and can even stand for a few seconds unsupported. He can also walk with the help of our shopping cart walking toy. He'll be walking for real before we know it!
- Now has 7 teeth, 4 on top and 3 on bottom, and seems to be working on an 8th one.
- Is getting close to saying "real" words. He says "Dada" a lot, sometimes to Quan and sometimes just randomly, and "Mama" only on occasion. The other day, I was picking him up from the nursery at church and telling the kids to say "Bye-bye" and Isaac repeated "Bye-bye" clear as day! He also says what sounds like "Hi" and seems like he's trying to say "doggy"/"duckie"/"Daddy" at times.
- Just loves his big sister! She doesn't always feel the same way about him but they are learning how to play with each other. Isaac is so curious about everything Maddie does and frequently has to crawl over to check things out.
- Favorite toys are the shopping cart, blocks, and basically anything with wheels - he is a boy after all!
- Although I do look forward to seeing more and more of the person Isaac is becoming, sometimes I just want to freeze these moments in time. He is just so cute and fun right now :)
