Mini Anniversary Getaway!

While my mom was staying with us last month, Quan and I were able to sneak away for a couple of kid free days to celebrate our anniversary a few weeks early and we had a blast!

Our hotel was just a couple of blocks south of the 16th Street Mall.  Each floor of the hotel had a different theme and we ended up on the science fiction floor - perfect for Quan :)

This sign was in the hotel bathroom and it kinda cracked me up!

We spent some time browsing the Tattered Cover bookstore (first time for me!) and although we didn't buy anything, it was fun to leisurely look around without kids in tow!

My sweet husband went in H&M with me (I had never been in one and really wanted to check it out) and we found some adorable clothes for the kids, including a super cute Hello Kitty dress for Maddie.  The kids clothes were really inexpensive and cute, cute, cute!  I guess H&M is Swedish owned so it was like the IKEA of the fashion world :)

We enjoyed tons of yummy food at some of our favorite places downtown - fondue and The Old Spaghetti Factory.  And we watched a fun movie - What to Expect When You Are Expecting - appropriate, right?

They had a Leonardo Da Vinci exhibit that we checked out and it was pretty interesting

And I managed to find a Hello Kitty store! :)

We're hoping to make this kind of getaway an annual thing.  It was just so nice to step away from things for a little while, reconnect and have some fun just the two of us! :)
