Yep, that's right, Maddie peed in the potty for the first time last Thursday night! And yes, this is a picture of the big event (I know this will horribly embarrass her at some point in the future!). We haven't been formally potty training Maddie yet. In some ways, I don't think she is quite ready. However, at the suggestion of our doctor, we took Maddie to pick out a potty a few months ago and have been teaching her what goes into the potty and having her sit on the potty right before her bath. And nothing had ever happened during those potty sitting times until a few nights ago. Needless to say we were pretty excited! Hopefully potty training will be coming in the near future :D
Just for grins and giggles, here's a video of Maddie doing her dirty diaper/potty dance. She does this little dance pretty much every morning when we do the diaper changing rounds. And no, we did not teach this to her. She came up with it all by herself!
